Workforce Development Scholarships are available to Warren County residents who want to continue their education to improve their employability or strengthen their career path. These scholarships help residents with financial need who live here, work here, and plan to put their education to work here in Warren County. In 2025, the Foundation awarded $70,000 in non-traditional workforce development scholarships benefiting adult learners pursuing careers in healthcare, early childhood education, and the trades.

Community Foundation Workforce Development Scholarship
Our first non-traditional scholarship, these scholarships were established in September of 2022 and are for Warren County residents who want to put their education to use right here in Warren County.

Beckley Family Scholarship
For Warren County residents pursuing trade-related educational opportunities with preference given to those wishing to become an electrician or electrical contractor.

Richard McKissock Scholarship
For Warren County residents seeking to advance their careers or improve their employability in Warren County through certificate or degree programs.

Susan Mong Scholarship
For students who are employed and pursuing additional education, with preference given to graduates of the Warren County Career Center and those pursuing nursing or EMT training.

Bruce & Annis Ziegler Simpler Times Museum Scholarship
Established in 2025, this scholarship benefits Tidioute-area residents pursuing a post-secondary education or seeking to advance their careers or improve their employability by attending college or trade school. Awards will begin in 2027.

Working Hands Scholarship
Our most recently established workforce development scholarship will be available to help county residents complete a trade program offered by two-year college, vocational school, higher education council, or other technical institute with preference given to displaced workers. Awards will begin in 2027.
