Community Foundation of Warren County Contributions & Grants
The Community Foundation received $286,009 in contributions from these generous donors in the month of August to the following funds held by the Community Foundation:
AnneBelle Bollinger Scholarship Fund – Lee Savino. WAHS Class of 1975 – Anonymous. Debra Anderson Furry Friends Fund – Debra Anderson. K-9 Fund – Blueberry Hill Golf Outing. Larry Himes Memorial Scholarship – Cheryl & Doug Lawson Maple Shade Racetrack, Eric Donaldson c/o Mike Donaldson, Jackson Valley Golf Outing, Sharon Aldrich. Louise Magnus Art Therapy Fund – Community Foundation in memory of John Mangus. Mary Emily and William S. Allen Fund – William S. Allen. Community Foundation Operating Fund – Estate of Gerry Lanman Africa, WAHS Class of 1965. Richard McKissock Scholarship Fund – Richard McKissock.
The Community Foundation’s Board of Directors approved grants totaling $161,794 in September to the following charitable causes serving Warren County residents:
Allegheny Valley Veterans Center, Eisenhower Bandtastic Boosters, Kids In Need Fund, Holy Redemer Church, Friends of Jakes Rocks, Hospice of Warren County, Kinzua Youth Development Center, Paws Along the River Humane Society, Robert H. Jackson Center Living Voices, United Fund of Warren County, Warren Sports Boosters, Warren YMCA, WCDA, Wiltsie Community Church Northern Tier Expo.
The Community Foundation’s Board of Directors also approved Non-traditional Workforce Development Scholarships totaling $9,318 in September from the Richard McKissock Scholarship Fund. The Warren County residents awarded these scholarships are pursuing degrees, training or certifications for nursing, and pre-law to further their careers and employability here in Warren County.
