Community Foundation of Warren County Contributions & Grants

The Community Foundation received $168,400 in contributions from these generous donors in the month of January to the following funds held by the Community Foundation: Allegheny Valley Veterans Fund – Allegheny Valley Veterans Center, Carol and Chris Goff Scholarship Fund – Christopher and Carol Goff, Debra Anderson Furry Friends Fund – Debra Anderson, James Eberly 341 Hickory Street Historical Preservation Fund – James Eberly,  Lt. Jack Pedersen Memorial Scholarship Fund – Jim Newark, Mary Emily, and William S. Allen Fund – William S. Allen, Paula Southwell Memorial Scholarship Fund – Robert & Dianna Sleeman in memory of Margaret Nelson, Terrance Radecki Scholarship Fund – Terrance Radecki, Tidioute Area Community Fund -Michael McEntire, Working Hands Scholarship Fund – Marty and Cora Lee Wenzel, Wright Vocational Scholarship Fund – Ann Ziki in Honor of Phyllis Wright, Tawni Betts in Honor of Phyllis Wright.

The Community Foundation’s Trust Distribution Committee approved grants totaling $5,000 in February to the following charitable causes serving Warren County residents:

Wrightsville Volunteer Fire Department

The Community Foundation’s Trust Distribution Committee also approved Richard McKissock Non-traditional Scholarships totaling $6,564 in February. The Warren County residents awarded these scholarships are pursuing degrees, training or certifications in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, and Healthcare to further their careers and employability here in Warren County.

The Community Foundation’s Corporate Board of Directors approved donor-advised disbursements of income totaling $348,925 in February to the following charitable causes: A Safe Place, American Red Cross, Audubon Nature Center – Warren County Programming, City of Warren – DeFrees Bells Restoration Project, Crary Art Gallery, Don Mills Achievement Center, Foundation For Free Enterprise – PFEW Scholarships, Hospice of Warren County, House of Hope, John & Orpha Blair Hospice Residence – in memory of Joan Hamel, Kids In Need Fund, Kinzua Area Discovery Center, Mary Edwards Conarro Nursing Scholarship, Paws Along The River Humane Society, PAWSitive Support Program – in memory of Andrew Pollard, Robert H. Jackson Center – Living Voices Program in Warren  County, Second Harvest Backpack Program, Second Harvest of Northwest PA – food insecurities in Warren County, Struthers Library Theatre Capital Campaign, Struthers Library Theatre – historical preservation, Tidioute Borough – Boat Launch Project, United Fund of Warren County Campaign, WAHS Boys & Girls Track and X-County Teams, WAHS VEX Robotics Boosters, Warren County 4-H Livestock Program, Warren County Conservation District – Camperships, Warren County Sheriff Support Dog Program, Warren County Summer Music School – in memory of Kevin & Ann Mead, Warren County Treatment Court – in honor of Judge Skerda, Warren Public Library – Books, Brews & Blues Event, Warren County YMCA, WCDA – Warren Worx, WCSD – Skills USA Competitions, and the Warren County Bike-Hike Trail Revitalization.
