In the last 5 years, the Community Foundation of Warren County has made
distributions totaling almost $5 million to local non-profit organizations. These organizations range from the Arts, to Communities, Schools, Youth/Families, Churches, and Health Care.
The DeFrees Family Memorial Fund is a component fund of the CFWC. It has a separate committee that reviews the grant requests and determines which organizations will receive grants. Organizations are permitted to file grant requests with both the DeFrees Family Memorial Fund and the Community Foundation of Warren County’s Unrestricted Fund, and could be eligible to receive a grant from each Fund.

Community Foundation Grant applications received by the 20th of the month will usually be considered at the next board meeting, typically held on the first Tuesday of the month. Click the link below for the 2018 board meeting calendar along with the grant application deadlines.
DeFrees Grant applications must be received two weeks in advance of quarterly meetings of the Oversight Committee. The DeFrees Family Memorial Fund Oversight Committee meets quarterly on the third Monday of January, April, July, and October.
